Many years ago I read how, when you are applying creams from a bottle or tube, you should never put the same finger back on top of the container.
When you think about it, that makes so much sense. For example, if you are putting cream on an infected cut it would be really silly to put some antiseptic cream from a tube on the cut with your finger, then in turn put that same finger on the top of the tube again.
